 Workshop Description:  It is becoming increasingly important for artists to have a personal artist website in order to present their artwork to potential clients and galleries.   Most artists would rather scrap paint off of their palette than fiddle around with a computer, make file transfers and deal with web protocols.  Participants will learn about objectives for an artist website, researching types of websites for artists, defining how a website designer help a visitor to interact an artist website, how to measure success of the website, options for creating a  website and, finally, marketing of the website.  After completion of this workshop, participants will be able to decide what next steps best suit him or her for creating a website that aligns with goals for his or her artistic practice.

Workshop: Getting Started with FAA - Half Day Workshop

Fine Art America (FAA) is a place for the visual artist / photographer who is interested in creating an online portfolio, selling and promoting their artwork.

 Workshop Description:  Most artists would rather be painting but still want to have a web site. In this half day workshop the artist will get organized to create and maintain their FAA website and take the first steps of getting one set up. There will be a presentation on objectives for artist website and options for creating one. Fine Art America options for showcasing, marketing, and selling artwork, standard vs.premium accounts will be gone over. Technical requirements for image size, colorspace, marketing for search engine optimizationan (SEO) and social media engagement will be demystified. The rest of the time will be hands on with each artist using their own laptop, images (artist headshot and , 5-6 high resolution images of your artwork) to create your artist website.
