Despite the delay from fracturing my ankle, the summer sketch tour was a big success. John and I enjoyed some time down the Cape, in Boston meeting up with various friends and some quality relaxing up in Vermont. A lot of the trip is chronicled on my artist blog. On the way back we visited more family and friends and finally made it back to Florida.
The fall promises to be quite busy with classes and studio work. I have rheumatoid arthritis and am recovering from a broken ankle but I am very grateful that I can pursue my passion of being an artist so this fall I have decided to support the mission of the Arthritis Foundation by raising money and participating in the local Arthritis Walk in Lake Worth FL.

The arthritis medication Enbrel is making a difference in my life so I’ve decided to make a difference. I am committed to raising $_2500__ to help prevent, control and cure arthritis. By the way, that amount is a little more than one month's cost of Enbrel. Thankfully I have health insurance to cover that cost. You can also make a difference by walking with me or by donating funds to help me reach my goal. I will be walking 11-14-09, hopefully the 3 mile walk, but at least the 1 mile walk and I'll be wearing a blue hat indicating that I am a walker with arthritis. I’d love to have you walk with me!
